May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month – an entire month is dedicated to the importance of this deadly but preventable disease.

Scientific Sunburn – (a photo of sunburn) – includes three discrete stages or phases –

  1. Phase I – Inflammation;
  2. Phase II – New Tissue Formation;
  3. Phase III – Apoptosis (Peeling).
