As part of my research, I’ve found that The Sunburn Cycle is a scientific phenomenon involving three stages or phases; Inflammation, New Tissue Formation, and Apoptosis (peeling).
#SPF is mainly a measure of the ability of a sunscreen to prevent tanning, which is a separate physiological process.
Certain sunscreen ingredients like benzophenone-3 (also known as oxybenzone) prevent tanning, but not sunburn in the scientific sense of the word. #Moondust suncare products have been specifically engineered to help prevent scientific or “apoptotic” sunburn, which has been linked to skin cancer.
