Celebrating Excellence: Moondust Cosmetics® Founder Awarded Best Video
We are proud to announce that Dr. Moondust, founder and primary researcher of Moondust Cosmetics® and a distinguished cancer biologist, has been honoured with a Best Video Award. This recognition comes as confirmation of her dedication to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of global health.
The award-winning video presentation is titled B-Thalassemia in India: Genetic Adaptation in Response to the Malaria Pathogen, Ancient Population Migrations, and Ethnic Diversity. The video was part of her participation in the Virtual Seminar at the 51st Global Congress on Infectious Diseases: Research on Diagnosis and Therapeutics. Organized by SciTech Infectious Diseases 2024 the seminars left a strong impression on those in attendance. See the full video here.
The award recognizes her achievements beyond the realm of skin cancer research and her revolutionary Skin Protector Plus formulation. It results from her groundbreaking research and insightful contributions to the scientific community, as presented in her papers and insights at international conferences.
While the Certificate of Appreciation recognizes Dr. Moondust’s current work, the video combines her dual interests in science and history, which is a hobby. Her efforts were meant to highlight and honour Dr. Moondust’s aunt’s research. She was the first Indo-Canadian student to graduate from a medical school in Canada in 1949 (University of Toronto) and she went on to specialize as a hematologist. She wrote a pioneering research paper on the prevalence of Beta-Thalassemia in the Sikh community during the 1950s.
